Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2020 and a Master of Advocacy in 2021. He has a keen interest to work as a litigation lawyer in Court and has already assisted in various cases in civil and family law. Paul also deals with Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights.
 
Paul’s previous career was in the Maltese diplomatic service during which he had a five-year posting in Copenhagen, Denmark where for two years he served as Charge d’Affaires a.i. He was also appointed as the Private Secretary of the Minister for the Environment for three years.
 
Paul is very civic minded and has been an elected Sliema Local Councillor since May 2012. Throughout these years he has garnered vast experience in administrative law areas such as in public procurement, visas, local government, planning and public international law.
 
Paul also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Philosophy and a Master of Arts in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Leicester.

AREAS OF SPECIALISATION
Malta’s unique hybrid system is the product of numerous influences coming in from different legal systems throughout the years. In our judicial system we thus witness civil law and common law practices working together with the recent EU laws introduced upon Malta’s accession in 2004.
Malta’s legislation for the protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights has been recently reinforced with the influx of EU legislation on the matter coming in with Malta’s accession to the EU in 2004.
The legal team at Mifsud & Mifsud Advocates has considerable knowledge of the local public procurement laws and regulations namely the Public Contracts Regulations.
